Beading is one of the things i am really passionate about.

Challenge is staying awake while I do it. For some reason my eyes get really heavy when I get down to it……very laughable. Thankfully I can work my way around it by doing all bead work in the morning after a good nights sleep. I also sometimes put  on the TV to keep me company. Action movies or music videos always do the trick.

Fit and flare floor length dress with multi-strap back detail.

The smile on a client’s face says it all. I can always tell when a client is satisfied with the results of  their dress order by the look on their face when they do their last fitting.

Most times a client comes to me with a picture or pictures of what they would like their dress to look like. For the client in the picture above, I picked a couple of elements from pictures that she had sent to come up with two designs from which I asked her to pick one. She ended up loving both of them so I combined the design further to come up with what she wore as a maid of honor.

One of the challenge that I get during fittings is convincing the client that the unfinished garment that is pinned and tucked here and there will end up looking awesome.

The other challenge is trying to convince someone that the design they saw in a picture may not work for them without being insulting. Best way to do it is to encourage the client to highlight their best features or show them designs that work for their body shapes.  For now, follow the link for details on how to dress your body shape. Breaking the silence

 

I have been Quite for far too long.

B.Daisy is back on the grid y’all.

The past few years have been filled with loads and loads of challenges. I hope that by sharing them someone out there will; be inspired, encouraged or even  entertained.

B.Daisy has grown and is still growing from strength. Running a fashion business comes with a lot of challenges. I have felt like giving up so many times but I somehow manage to keep going. I guess that the passion I have for fashion conquers all in the end.

Any hooo…..In true designer style, I choose to break the silence by sharing some of my past work. The day that I did the photo shoot for these garments was one of my best days.
